


ABOUT
W. J. Davies is a writer, critic and academic author. He lives in southeast England with his wife, who is a sculptor, and his cat, who is not.
Will has held academic posts at the University of Reading, Oxford Brookes and the University of Leeds. He has also twice been a visiting fellow at the University of Texas, Austin. His academic writing includes a monograph on Beckett and the Second World War, as well as several edited books, journal special issues and essays on Beckett, Harold Pinter, T. S. Eliot, Donald Davie and others. His research publications are listed on the Scholarship page.
Will also regularly contributes reviews and essays to literary magazines, newspapers and online publications, found here. He also interviews writers for print and online publications.
Will has made two BBC radio documentaries ('Beckett's Last Tapes' and 'The Battle of the Brows'), written one play (Onion Soup), and is an editor of LONGITŪDINĒS, a magazine about art and language (on hiatus). He is writing fiction.

In his spare time, Will grows things. His day job is in the public library sector.
