Eve Smith is the author of three speculative thrillers. Her latest novel, ONE, published in 2023, is set in a one-child policy Britain ravaged by climate change. It was longlisted for the 2023 British Science Fiction Association Best Novel award. Eve is also the author of Off-Target and The Waiting Rooms. This interview developed out of an in-person event held at Ewell Library, UK, in September 2023.

Kevin Boniface is a writer, artist and postman. Sports and Social (2023) is his first work of fiction. He has also published two books of observations gathered during his postal rounds: Lost in the Post (2008) and Round About Town (2018). We talk about shaping stories, moving between non-fiction and fiction, and how being a postman influences his writing.

In this interview, Robert McCrum, Creative Fellow at the Samuel Beckett Research Centre from 2019-2020, reflects on his creative response to the archives, Beckett’s life and legacy, and his new drama Full Moon based on a fictional encounter between P.G. Wodehouse and Samuel Beckett in France during World War II. Our interview was recorded at Minghella Studios in the Department of Film, Theatre and Television at the University of Reading.
